I qualified from Cambridge University in 1990 having wanted to be a vet from the age of five.  I have worked in practice since then and have also worked for veterinary charities at home and abroad. I share my home with my cat, rescue dogs and family of Italian Spinone.  I have three retired rescue ponies and a donkey.

Complementary medicine has always fascinated me.  It looks at the animal as a whole taking into account its diet, environment, stressors and any other factors that may be affecting its health.  It can work really well alongside conventional medicine, providing support and enhancement to treatments.  It can be invaluable when an animal cannot tolerate medicines or when there is no medicine to treat the condition.

  • I am a member of the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies.  I have obtained the certificate in Western Herbal Medicine.
  • I am a member of the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists.
  • I have completed training courses in Laser Therapy and Laser Acupuncture.
